Silage bale wrapping machine shipped to Costa Rica
In mid-2025, our Silage Bale Wrapping Machine TZ-60-52 was successfully exported to Costa Rica, helping a local medium-sized dairy and forage farm improve silage preservation and overall efficiency.
Customer background
Our customer has a medium-sized farm focusing on dairy cattle breeding and forage processing. The farm covers around 200 hectares, with about 80 hectares dedicated to growing silage corn, pasture grass (such as tall fescue and timothy), and mixed forage.
Due to the humid climate and limited storage conditions during the rainy season, the farm often faced problems such as poor silage fermentation, nutrient loss, and high transportation costs.

To improve forage preservation, reduce losses, and increase efficiency, they decided to purchase a silage bale wrapping machine.
Purchase and selected model
The customer finally purchased a TZ-60-52 silage bale wrapping machine from us. This model is designed for baling and wrapping corn stalks, pasture grass, and rice straw, providing excellent bale density and efficiency, which perfectly met the farm’s needs.
Machine parameters
- Model: TZ-60-52
- Power: 7.5 kW electric motor
- Bale size: 60 cm length × 52 cm diameter
- Bale weight: approx. 90–140 kg (depending on material and moisture content)
- Capacity: 50–75 bales/hour
- Overall dimensions: 3500 × 1450 × 1550 mm
- Applicable materials: corn stalks, rice straw, pasture grass, mixed forage, etc.

Implementation and results
- Installation & training: After arriving in Costa Rica, the machine was installed and tested with assistance from our technical team. The farm operators received one-day training on bale density adjustment, wrapping tension control, and routine maintenance.
- Improved preservation: With the TZ-60-52, the farm was able to bale and wrap silage immediately after harvesting. The airtight wrapping significantly reduced mold growth and extended preservation time by 30–40% compared with traditional open-air storage.
- Easier transportation & storage: The standardized bale size and strong wrapping improved loading and transport efficiency, while reducing forage loss during transit.

结论
The successful introduction of the silage bale wrapping machine helped the Costa Rican farm improve forage preservation, optimize storage and transportation, and reduce operating costs. For medium-sized farms in humid climates with large-scale forage production, the TZ-60-52 model provides an ideal solution.
